It is the policy of Cutting Edge that its operations are carried out at all times in such a way as to ensure, so far as it is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and all persons likely to be affected by its operations including subcontractors and, where appropriate, the public.
Cutting Edge will take all reasonable measures to meet this responsibility, paying particular attention to the provision and maintenance of a safety management system which enables the ongoing assessment & management of hazards to which employees may be exposed. We aim to provide equipment, plans and systems of work, which are safe and without risk to health. We will provide safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances and sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to enable all employees to identify, minimise and manage hazards.
Employees will be made aware that they are expected to contribute positively to their own safety at work and to help create a working environment, which is safe and without risk to health. We aim to ensure that partners, managers and staff, are aware of their own responsibilities to health and safety. Employees are made aware that they are required to work safely and to co-operate with managers in all matters that affect their health and safety at work.
Cutting Edge recognises its duties to persons other than its own employees in the conduct of its business. This is accomplished through the adoption of good safety practices where we have been allocated responsibility and are legally able to do so under the terms of the contract of the works.
